This year ... I will not blame those idiot referees for rejecting my paper #academia

This year ... I will read those draft chapters by my doctoral students at the first time of asking #academia  

This year ... I will not rely on submitting my conference paper 3 minutes before the deadline #academia 

This year ... I will be polite about quality assurance #academia 

This year ... I will not answer my email in departmental seminars but will listen instead #academia 

This year ... I will work out how to connect my laptop to the AV before the lecture starts #academia 

This year ... I will throw away the piece of lab equipment that has not worked for 3 years #academia 

This year ... I will not keep checking my citations on Google Scholar #academia 

This year ... I will try and get home at a decent time #academia
